Lagos graduate internship programme: How to apply for the 4,000 jobs for unemployed youths Sanwo-Olu approved
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved Internship Programme for 4,000 unemployed graduates in line with the state Youth Development Programme.
He said this is part of government effort to reduce the rate of unemployment in the state.
The Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Yetunde Arobieke who give this information said the graduate internship placement programme will give candidates the opportunity to develop employability skills that they will need to get good job.
Madam Arobieke said that the internship programme will be for six months and beneficiaries will be collecting monthly stipends of N40,000.

She said at the end the programme, interns would have gained valuable work experience, they would have gotten professional skills and exposed to entrepreneurial opportunities which can be used to strengthen their professional skills and interpersonal relationship.
How to apply for the Lagos Graduate Internship Programme
- Interested and qualified applicants need to apply online at http://gipplasg.lagosstate.gov.ng.
- Application is free of charge.
- Applicants must have the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency LASSRA number.
- Applicants must have NYSC Certificates or letters of exemption.
The commissioner said over 50 companies have already shown interest to allow interns come work at their organizations.
Arobieke said that the selection process will be transparent and successful candidates will take an online test where they will be trained on employment skills.
